ESG is currently recruiting two enthusiastic individuals to join an expanding team on a permanent, full-time basis. 

Job Description

The successful applicants will join ESG's Petroleum Services Group as a Field Technologist reporting to the Manager of Petroleum Services.  The Field Technologist will:

• Travel to client sites around the world to install and commission ESG's microseismic monitoring systems
• Work closely with manufacturing and engineering to participate in the design and construction of microseismic instrumentation
• Provide first level technical support to clients and to the Petroleum Service Group
• Travel to various locations around the world to support system installations and provide onsite troubleshooting and maintenance

These positions will reside in ESG's offices in Calgary, Alberta and Kingston, Ontario.  Initial training will be conducted in Kingston.

Qualifications and Experience 

• Technologist Diploma or higher in electronic instrumentation or a similar field
• 2 or more years experience in a relevant field 
• Strong computer skills, including the ability to efficiently learn new computer software packages
• Computer hardware/electronic instrumentation proficiencies are a definite asset
• Able to travel both internationally and domestically, sometimes for extended periods of time
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
• Willing to work in either Kingston, Ontario or Calgary, Alberta
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including clients, suppliers and partners
• High level of motivation
